Angelina Schwarz

Intern
Angelina has more than 9 years of experience in life science and clinical research in the cardio-metabolic-renal field. In this, she gathered a broad set of skills, including project management, scientific writing, analysis of scientific and clinical data, as well as in depth knowledge of the Swedish renal research environment.
Prior to joining Macanda, Angelina worked as a post-doctoral researcher studying chronic kidney disease and associated early vascular aging at the renal department (CLINTEC) of Karolinska Institutet. She has worked throughout the clinical research process in academia, from animal models to human biopsy material and transcriptomic analysis.
Angelina holds a BSc and MSc in life science from the University of Konstanz as well as a PhD in medical science from Karolinska Institutet. In addition, she holds a position as a research specialist at the Division of Renal Medicine, Deptartment of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology, Karolinska Institutet.
